Overview
Abode Mortgage Holdings Corp. is a public company trading on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol ABD, and through its wholly owned subsidiary, Abode Mortgage Corporation, provides mortgage services to the increasing number of Canadians who are unable to find mortgage financing through traditional sources. Headquartered in Vancouver, Abode Mortgage Corporation is delivering a new standard of service excellence to the Canadian non-conforming residential mortgage industry by providing simplified products, consistent underwriting decisions, uniformed pricing and competitive compensation programs.
Residential ownership continues to be the single largest economic factor in the lives of most Canadians, with annual additions to the total outstanding mortgage balance growing rapidly. Nowhere is this growth more evident than in the estimated $65 billion+ non-conforming segment of the Canadian residential mortgage financing market. Growth in the non-conforming lending segment, currently estimated at 50% a year, is expected to rise by an annual average of 20% in the next five years, more than twice the rate expected for prime mortgage lending in Canada.
Abode Mortgage Corporation launched its lending operations in the Western Canadian residential non-conforming mortgage marketplace in February, 2007.
